(Yicai Global) June 12 -- Huawei Technologies has gained over half of the procurement of China''s largest fifth-generation wireless base station tender this year organized by China Mobile. The telecoms giant scored over 50 percent of the total of the major mobile network operator''s centralized procurement program in 2023, The Paper reported today.
Huawei Technologies has secured a major contract that will see it supply over half of the 5G base stations for telco China Mobile between 2023 and 2024. In total, Huawei has won 52 percent of China Mobile’s 5G base station work, as part of the largest portion of the contracts put out for tender this year, according to Yicai Global.
Huawei has won a $574 million (4.1 billion yuan) 5G wireless network equipment centralized procurement contract. This contract by China Mobile will be carried out from 2023 to 2024. According to the information, this round of centralized procurement is divided into two projects – 2.6GHz/4.9GHz and 700M.
