The contract is the latest in a line of solar projects backed by Serbia’s Ministry of Mining and Energy this year, which includes plans for a 1 GW solar panel factory and another 500 MW of solar. UGT Renewables Serbia Solar is a ground-mounted solar project, which is planned over 2,000 hectares. The electricity generated from the Serbia Solar PV will offset 1,900,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. UGT Renewables Serbia Solar PV will be a 1,000MW solar PV power project developed in a single phase.
