For uplink trans-missions in LTE systems, the link adaptation process is similar to the downlink process, with the Base Station handling the selection of the modulation and coding scheme (MCS). The principle of link adaptation is essential for the development of a radio inter-face project for eficient packet switching data trafic [1, 2].
LTE downlink broadcasting includes two modes: Single-Cell Point-To-Multipoint (SC-PTM) and Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). In order to reduce latency, shorter scheduling period, repetition period and modification period are introduced for the broadcast control/broadcast service channels in SC-PTM/MBSFN.
Furthermore, our link routing scheme enables the base station to switch in order to restore the connectivity availability and limit the threat impact. We also discuss future directions to facilitate and encourage R&D in securing telecommunications and base station security.
