Amman East IPP 1 Power Project is a 375MW dual-fuel fired power project. It is located in Amman, Jordan. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in August 2009.
The power plant comprises of 2 gas turbines and 1 steam turbines and it has started its commercial operation in 2009. All the electricity produced and the capacity made available by Amman East IPP is purchased by National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) under a long term Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) until 2034.
