Leipzig, Germany – 19th July 2022: Skeleton Technologies and Siemens are announcing a far-reaching technology partnership for the development, planning and implementation of a fully automated, digitalized manufacturing plant to produce supercapacitors in Germany.
Our mirrored production facilities in Japan & China as well as film plants in various countries spread the risk and result in outstanding delivery capability even in times of shortage. In addition, we operate the world''s largest warehouse for AIC tech capacitors in Krefeld.
Skeleton will invest 220 million EUR in scaling up its production of supercapacitors in Germany. The company has chosen Markranstädt in Leipzig area to establish its second manufacturing site in Saxony, with SOP expected in 2024.
Siemens already uses our supercapacitors for their high-power energy storage. Skeleton and Siemens both believe that the global economy is undergoing structural changes in some of the largest CO2 emission sources such as power generation, transport, and industry. Supercapacitors are a key element in drastically reducing emissions in these sectors.
