Spherical containers and BTA inhibitors (Fig. 1 b), lamellar containers and PDA inhibitors (Fig. 1 c), tubular containers and 8-HQ inhibitors (Fig. 1 d) are respectively used as examples to demonstrate the corrosion prevention mechanism of different structure types of micron-nano containers in coatings. Fig. 1.
When Azo is used for corrosion protection, the “closed/open” state of the micron-nano container channel can be adjusted through reversible trans photoisomerization conversion to control the storage and release of corrosion inhibitors.
They prepared hollow mesoporous zirconia (HMZSs) by sol-gel technology. Using L-CAR as a green and effective corrosion inhibitor in HMZSs shell, the nano container was added to waterborne EP coating, and smart anticorrosion coatings were constructed for the anticorrosion study of carbon steel.
As far as the physical barrier effect of the composite coating is concerned, the lamellar micron- nano container is the best. Secondly, the introduction of micron-nano containers with different structures can endow the coating with self-healing performance, and the spherical container based coating has the best self-healing performance.
