AusNet Services (Transmission) owns, operates and maintains Victoria’s high-voltage electricity transmission system, which consists of around 6,620 km of transmission lines across 13,399 transmission towers.
We’re planning to move one set of transmission towers at Watsonia to the other side of Greensborough Road. Moving the towers from the train station car park to the power line easement will: make space to build North East Link and an upgraded Greensborough Road
A balance of renewable energy generation and storage will be required to replace retiring coal-fired power stations and ensure Victoria’s electricity system is affordable, reliable, safe, and sustainable. Actions include: Building energy storage – like the Victorian Big Battery – to help provide reliable renewable energy throughout the transition.
Two new towers have been built in the power line easement, at Frensham Reserve, before the old towers were fully dismantled at the end of February. Moving the transmission towers is part of a range of works happening around-the-clock to carefully move nearly 100 utilities out of the way of North East Link.
Our home solar PV systems and energy storage products are engineered for reliability, safety, and efficient deployment in Polish conditions. All systems include comprehensive monitoring and control with remote management capabilities.
